The Surrounding Area

There are several good country pubs within a few minutes’ drive offering real ales and food. Just a five minute walk will take you to the nearest, the Squire and Horse at Bury, where the chef / patron Nick conjures up some of the finest food around.

A 30 minute riverside walk on the banks of the Arun will take you to Houghton Bridge, where there is a pub, a restaurant and waterfront tea room. Also here is Amberley Station and the Amberley Chalk Pits Museum.

Nearby Arundel offers several good places to eat and a variety of things to see and do.
